Abstract

Mining heritage includes a diverse set of elements or phenomena serving to represent and interpret values and meanings related to mining. This set of tangible or intangible remnants of the past reminds us today of the importance of the discipline for the development of modern human society, and at the same time it can act as an integrative element in the right management, strengthen the image of the place, or the local or regional identity.

At the same time, his research reveals specific historical or cultural meanings that are important to today's society as well.
