Abstract
I am working on my research in the Peruvian capital of Lima, where I am currently doing investigation and fieldwork about migration. I am focusing on so called lifestyle migration, which is privileged type of migration mostly from Western Europe and United States.
These migrants don't migrate to fulfill their economic needs or to escape from war for example, they are representing flow of the opposite direction - migrating from more developed to less developed country. In my research I am focusing on what are the motivations for such decision and what are the everyday experiences of my informants as foreigners in Lima.
Through my interviews and participated observation occurred to me as the most common the term of certain privilege they would experience in several areas in comparison to the Peruvian locals; mostly in public services, workplace and partner relationships. Therefore I focused more closely on this problem, which I would like to present here - how is the privilege manifested, how my informants perceive it and deal with it in their everyday life.
