Old maps of the Czech lands are among the most important historical treasures and most valuable documents on historical landscapes and societies. The article deals with one of the oldest maps - the Komenský map of Moravia, which was created during the period of unsettlement of the Thirty Years' War by the hands of the teacher of nations of Jan Amos Comenius.
It intends to motivate the creation of this map, its expansion abroad and interests of content.
