Abstract
The article claims to outline the begining and development of romance settlement in the area of medieval kingdom of Hungary. Romance people, mainly Walloons have arrived to Hungary for several reasons (pilgrimage, bad econonomic conditions) and Theky often engaged on development of Hungarian church.
