Abstract
The aim of this introductory chapter is primarily to point out the problems and issues ensuing from the recodified private law, and explain why it is crucial at the present time to deal with the question of how juristic persons can perform legal acts and be legally liable (not only for their conduct) under the Czech laws. Therefore, it is explained in the introductory chapter what is comprised in the concept of legal acts and liability of juristic persons, how the individual chapters are arranged and, in particular, what questions are answered in the individual chapters.
