The Cento nuptialis of Ausonius and Virgil, the hostage in a hermeneutic battle

Abstract

This article offers an interpretation of the Cento nuptialis of Ausonius, in the context of two other poetic works of Late Antiquity : a greek poem, conserved partly in the works of Hippolyt of Rome, and the Cento of Proba.
