Endocrine disruptors of the bisphenol and paraben families and bone metabolism

Abstract

This original article presents the preliminary study comparing levels of bisphenols and parabens between postmenopausal womens with osteoporosis and normal bone mineral density. The difference was nonsignificant.

A positive association of bisphenol A on calcium concetrations was found by assessment of calcium-phosphate metabolism.
