Alternative transoral approach for surgical extractions of mesiodentes impacted in the floor of the nasal cavity

Abstract

In the present paper the authors summarize their experience with surgical extractions of mesiodentes impacted in the floor of the nasal cavity using modified maxillary vestibular approach with subperiostal intranasal dissection. Advantages of this procedure over traditional transpalatal extractions of supernumerary teeth impacted in this position are described.
