Abstract
In the Czech Republic, undoubtedly, the predominant type of business entity is a natural person - an entrepreneur, followed by a corporation in the form of a limited liability company controlled by one or more natural persons - partners. Whether it is an enterprise directly run by a natural person or a company owned by a natural person, we always see a particular person or persons who are behind the business project.
We see the owners who mostly created the company and who also often direct it. How long are they able to manage the business? In recent years, we have become more and more aware in the Czech Republic of the essence and complexity of the aging problem of the first generation of entrepreneurs, founders and the related issue of how to deal with the built-up business? Unfortunately, it is also not surprising that in the vast majority of cases, the owners did not have the opportunity to devote themselves to such a remote and hypothetical situation in the construction of the business, the question of who and how they will pass on their business.
