From April 5 to April 7, 2018, at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (under the auspices of the European Center for Tort and Insurance Law - ECTIL), was held the traditional annual international conference on the development of European law in the area of tort law in the past year 2017. The conference consisted of two parts.
On the first conference day, when Monika Hinteregger (professor of civil and international private law at UNI Graz) and Christiane Wendehorst (professor of civil law at UNI Vienne) chaired the international forum, attention was paid to different European countries, the development of their legislation and tort law. The speakers briefly talked about the state and recent developments in the tort law of their country, always focusing on interesting cases from court practice.
