Stories of Exile. The Destinies of Exiles from the territory of the former Russian empire in interwar Czechoslovakia
Abstract
Collective monographs Exile stories build on the successful exile experience catalog, awarded in the Gloria musaealis competition as the best museum publication in 2017. In studies devoted, among other things, to the Russian and Ukrainian educational system, to technical specialists, the history of the Slavonic Library, the Daliborka literary association or the group of Skyt's artists, the other aspects of the phenomenon of Russian, Ukrainian and Belorussian emigration in the interwar Czechoslovakia, which in the 1920s created exceptionally favorable conditions for the development of the activities of exile communities, are mapped out.
The book is again decorated with a rich image, presenting mostly unpublished materials from Czech and foreign archive, museum, gallery and private collections.
