Abstract

The study deals with the diplomatic relations of the Holy See and Austria in the years 1918-1938. They are analyzed at the background of events of 1920s and 1930s.

Emphasizing the Vatican archives, they in particular concern the reports of the apostolic nuncios of Vienna to Rome, which described the changing political-religious relations and the country's approaching to authoritarian regime in the 1930th in full details.
