Practice of financial law

Publication at Faculty of Law |
2018

Abstract

It can be said that the initial authors4 ideas and objectives were met when creating this publication. The publication is based on the idea of reflection of theoretical concepts from the field of financial law and financial science into practice-oriented exercises.

According to the authors, this should result not only in higher efficiency of education of financial law at universities, but also in clarification of the very nature of selected concepts for the general public. Within solved exercises addressees should understand the basic nature and procedures related to the selected issues.

Afterwards they should be able to demonstrate their knowledge when solving unsolved exercises. At the same time addressees of the publication have opportunity to test their knowledge by answering the control questions listed at the end of a particular thematic unit.

In the publication the authors have dealt with both basic and special part of financial law, while a key emphasis was put on a special part, namely on the area of budgetary law, monetary law, foreign exchange law, banking law, insurance law, capital market law and tax law in its broad sense, covering not only taxes in the narrow sense, but also fees and customs, including their administration. Due to the fact that the financial law legislation is, unlike some other branches of law, very changeable, it is necessary to bear it in mind when using this publication, however, the exercises were designed so that they should remain applicable as long as possible.
