Abstract
Standardization: Comparing comparable? In today's world we are witnessing considerable structural differences between populations, which bring serious problems to their mutual comparison. To compare the intensity of demographic phenomena with some degree of relevance, there is a principle of standardization which helps us to solve this problem, both in their direct or indirect method.
Using standardization, we can create a better picture of the demographics of the compared populations, as well as a critical look at the often incorrect interpretation of the basic demographic data.
