Millennialism in the early Church and in contemporary Christianity

Abstract

Rev 20,1-10 is the basis of millennialism, the doctrine of the Thousand-Year Reign of Christ. This paper focuses on the interpretations of the text by various Christian authors mainly during the 2nd and 3rd centuries.

It also deals with the main approaches to the millennialism in contemporary Christianity.
