In this review authors discuss a newborn from physiological pregnancy. After birth the newborn had signs of severe perinatal asphyxia.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was started and it was followed with artificial lung ventilation. After admission to NICU the whole body hypothermia was initiated.
The following course was very beneficial and the newborn was dismissed with diagnosis hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy grade two in a good clinical condition. The child is monitored regularly.
Psychomotor development corresponds to age.
