Publication at Faculty of Science |
2018

Abstract

This book provides an introduction to the world of scientific literature in environmental sciences and is intended for students in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The first part of the book deals with various types of scientific publications - why does occur, what is their structure and how we should approach their reading.

In the second part, the authors provide practical advice for preparing and academic writing, whether it is a literature review, or a journal article describing empirical research. The main text of the book is accompanied by separate boxes in which some aspects of scientific work and literature are explained in more detail (eg statistics, creation and interpretation of graphs and tables, citing rules, use of citation managers, data management, etc.).
