Abstract

Ovarian cancer is a serious disease with high mortality. Sporadic carcinomas form the majority of the diagnosed cases.

Hereditary forms, mainly due to mutation in BRCA genes, account for about 15 - 20% of cases. Each complex oncology center should have an outpatient system that would provide specialized follow-up programs, consultations and prophylactic surgical procedures were performed at the center.
