The Introduction shows T. G.

Masaryk's sociology as a function of the development of Czech society and its problems in the last third of the XIX. Century.

It gives rise to Masaryk's psychology, the critique of historicism and the influence of empiricism and the concept of so-called "moral sciences" of John St. Mill.
