Abstrakt
Between the 50s and 70s of the 20th century was translated and published a dozen books of Portuguese neorealists authors. This paper attempts to explain this phenomenon and to map the reception of Portuguese neorealist literature in the czech territory finding parallel with the social realism proclaimed throughout the former Eastern Bloc.
