Emotions in the Bible

Publication at Catholic Theological Faculty |
2018

Abstract

Contemporary theories of emotion point to the fact, that the emotions constitute an integral part of psychological phenomenon and processes. The emotions are defined as a relatively separate system which involves stimulus situation, physilogical arousal and behavioural reaction (changes).

We need to take all these components into consideration in the process of a comprehensive analysis of emotional states and emotional experiences. This book presents three areas of research of the emotions in their historical-religious context, in the Old and New Testament.
