Georg Mannheimer: A Central European between German Jewry, Zionism and Czechoslovakism

Abstract

The chapter presents the journalistic and literary work of the Prague writer and editor of the journal Die Wahrheit and analyzes it from the point of view of identity discourse. Mannheimer, according to the central thesis, can not be duly integrated into any of the traditional identity categories.

At the same time, the text argues against a static view of a hybrid or multiple identity.
