Electrical Circuits Through the Eyes of the Thermal Imaging Camera

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2018

Abstract

The paper describes three experiments using thermal imaging camera to detect thermal phenomena in electrical circuits. The first experiment shows the construction of the electrically conductive maze where Joule heating is used to find the path between its two entrances.

The second experiment deals with different heat capacity of resistors with the same resistance, but different size. The last experiment use thermal imaging camera to visualize temperature changes in low frequency alternating circuit.
