Abstract
The Chapter commemorates the Czech historian Zdeněk Kalista (1900-1982), a political prisoner in 1951-160, and his last, meditative work "A Face of the Baroque", published in exile published houses Arkýř (Munich) 1982 and Rozmluvy (London) 1983.
