Abstract
The contribution compares the Methodological Guideline to Decree No. 39/2005 Coll., Which lays down minimum requirements for study programs to acquire professional qualification for the performance of a regulated non -medical health care profession as a midwife. The Methodological Guideline is published in the form of a national educational standard based on 18 the WHO European Strategy 1998 and the European Commission Directive on Midwives - Directive 2005/36 / EC.
The standard is compared to the standard nursing regulated general nursing standard contained in the same Decree No.39/ 2005 and is based on the directives and recommendations of the European Commission for Nurses and the Educational Program in the Nursing Field, either in the bachelor study program or in the education program at a higher vocational school. The comparison is focused on professional compulsory subjects and professional practice within individual disciplines, including the minimum number of hours of professional practice and the Logbook, which were developed according to the Directive 2005/36 / EC of the European Communities Council.
