Abstract
The paper presents a possibility of how to teach introduction to stylistics (characterization of functional styles) in teaching Czech at upper-secondary school. The strategy is based on principles of the analytical-synthetic method and constructivism, it makes use of authentic illustrations, up-to-date topics and current language.
