Thinking God's Face after Metaphysics: Jan Patočka's Metaphysical Thinking versus the Postmodern Overcoming of Onto-theology

Abstract

In the wake of postmodern theological turns to religion, it has become commonplace to suggest that we are living "after metaphysics". This chapter will focus on the Czech philosopher Jan Patočka and his critical account of metaphysical philosophy.
