Abstract

The article deals with the issue of psychohygiene and burnout syndrome of sign language interpreters from the perspective of a deaf psychologist. Sign language interpreting is specific in the way that deaf people are a specific community with their own culture, language and experience, and the interpreter is part of it.

The text provides concrete examples and tips on how to prevent burnout syndrom.
