Kurgans of Yaz I culture in Pashkhurt valley, Southern Uzbekistan

Abstract

The aim of paper is to present kurgans (cairns) excavated recently in the northern part of Pashkhurt valley (Uzbekistan) by Czech-Uzbekistani Archaeological Expedition. Besides of brief description of uncovered archaeological situations and finds there is paid attention on the possible interpretations of revealed phenomenon of "non-burial kurgans" connected apparently with the local archaeological culture Yaz I (Late Bronze Age / Early iron Age).
