This is Not a Land for Others: The Israeli Nationality Bill under the critique of the heads of the army

Publication at Protestant Theological Faculty |

Abstract

The public debate in Israel has been defined by three claims of which only two can ever be fulfilled: That the State be 1) Jewish, 2) democratic, and) that it would also comprise the West Bank. The Nationality Bill is an answer to the attempts of the Israeli Left to find a settlement with Palestinians on the principle of citizenship while holding back the Jewish character of the state.
