The lecture brought into conversation Orthodox principles of iconography as spelled out by Leonid Ouspensky, Paul Florensky, Paul Evdokimov, Assad Kattan and Richard Schneider and Western search for rules inherent in depicting the holy, and for the art that has a liturgical function.
