Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyse current state of the debate about hybrid war concept, focusing on the paradox of its success despite broad expert critique. The article specifically discusses pragmatism in use of the concept by institutions and authors as an explanation of the current situation.
Finally, it analyses its possible causes, with special attention to its development and conceptual quality, and its possible implications.
