A short information about the role of the Institute of the History and Archive of Charles University in storing and caring of newly discoverd mediaeval letters. The first step was to safely and properly store them in a climate-controlled and secured vault, the second step was to make a description and adding them to the inventory.
At the same time the letters were carefully examined by experts, both historians and archivists, and restorers. The restorers recommended them to be treated at a professional restoration and conservation workplace.
