Abstract
The article reveals the way Classical mythology has been adopted by catholic branch of Czech literature. This neutral space has been intruded and altered by adoptions and projections: from the deliberate mythologization of Classical metres as a joint between Classical Antiquity and Christianity, and the use of symbols "exempt of inner meanings" to dialogue between the two.
