Abstrakt
The aim of the study is to analyse the role and function of the daughters of men in the Book of Watchers (1 En 1-36). In the article, it is argued, that while the daughters of men of the Genesis narrative simply represented humanity as opposed to the divine sphere of sons of God, in the Enochic composition, they symbolise a particular part of the Jewish community.
These Jews are, in the author's perspective, collaborators with the ruling power and they contribute to the wicked state of the world by spreading sinful knowledge and deeds. The substantial part of the article is devoted to the close analysis of the description of these sinful acts.
