A novel synthetic protocol for the synthesis of new zeolites is discussed here based on experimental and theoretical considerations. ADOR mechanism (Assembly-Disassembly-Organization-Reassembly) has been developed for the synthesis of novel feasible and "unfeasible" zeolites and related pillared materials having the same structure of the zeolitic layers but various connectivities.

The principal step of the ADOR process is the hydrolysis of parent germanosilicate zeolites providing layered precursors possessing the same structure as layers in the parent zeolite. Manipulation with layers then results in the formation of pillared materials with organic or inorganic pillars or leads to the formation of new zeolites, some of them with unprecedented energetic features.

Seven new zeolites will be discussed here prepared from parent UTL and UOV zeolites.
