The aim of this work was to determine the effect of recombinant fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2) on migration of dermal fibroblasts at in vitro assays. Migration is the key processes performed by dermal fibroblasts in wound healing and are stimulated by FGF2.
However, the thermal stability of FGF2 is limited to approximately 30 min at 37°C, the stabilized forms of FGF2 could represent promising therapeutic agent in wound healing strategies.
