Social Visions nd Utopias: the social Issue between Powerty and Modernisation

Abstract

Problems of the emergence and evolutions of the "social question" and the political emancipations of the working classes in the 19th century are set in the broader context of long-term civilizational processes of industrialisation, urbanisation, centralization and bureaucratisation of the state, and most notably, of the overall modernisation of European societies.
