Abstract
Papulonecrotic tuberculid is a rare disease which belongs to the group of tuberculid skin reaction associated with tuberculosis. Authors present a case of 55 - years - old Pakistanian woman residing in the Czech Republic for 2 years with typical clinical presentation of skin lesions, positivity of QuantiFeron TB Gold and positive epidemiologic history.
Histologic examination of two biopsy samples of skin lesions demonstrated obliterative vasculopathy with signs of granulomatous reaction. Skin lesions spontaneously subsided.
The pneumologist extablished diagnosis of latent tuberculous infection with no treatment recommended. Meanwhile new episodes of skin exanthemas appeared with new clinical symptomatology like raised temperature, polyarthralgia and night sweating.
The patient was refered to internal medicine clinic in order to exclude extrapulmonary tuberculosis.
