The Individual and Society: Reflections on the concept of homo sociologicus

Publication at Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Arts |
2018

Abstract

The book goes back to some of the questions that Ralf Dahrendorf formulated more than half a century ago. At the time, Homo Sociologus found that a certain simplified concept of what a person is always contained in the basis of individual social sciences (often as a concealed assumption).

The individual chapters of the book discuss the question of what image of man contemporary sociology creates.
