Abstract

The book is the result of international collaboration that has developed around a joint project of the Charles University and the University of Cologne. Its aim is to look at the theme of Central Europe in terms of political and cultural specifics, as a distinct socio-cultural and political space, including mutual confrontation, interaction and the mixing of cultures.

As a result, a unique, intellectually stimulating and culturally inspiring environment was created in this area, influenced by many important personalities - politicians, intellectuals, writers and artists
