The increased risk of severe autosomal aneuploidies corresponds to the degree of deviation of PAPP-A / proMBP complex and of free betahCG from control levels within the first trimester. PAPP-A/proMBP complex was found to be one of the most sensitive markers of unstable angina pectoris and non-STAMI and STAMI myocardial infarctions.
PAPP-A/proMBP metabolic functions together with presented data suggest, that the deviation of their levels from controls in disorders of the prenatal development due to severe autosomal aneuploidies of chromosomes 21, 13 and triploidy, including development of the coronary artery diseases reflect their important role in cell growth, tissue differentiation, remodellation and repair.
