Case management for people living with dementia and their family members

Publication

Abstract

While studying various policy documents one can come to a conclusion that Case Management appears to be a panacea - a cure for everything. Such remedies have a common feature: they can have a positive effect on many people, but their effectiveness is often uncertain or difficult to capture.

This also applies to Case Management, which is often referred to as a clearly defined method or approach, but its practical form is very diverse. In this workshop, we will discuss Case Management in the care of people with dementia and try to summarize the starting points and recommendations for the Czech Republic, resulting from several years of research by the Center of Expertise in Longevity and Long-Term Care at Faculty of Humanities, Charles University.
