Discussions with the teacher as well as discussions among pupils are important elements in constructivist teaching. The discussion is organized in such a way that pupils can discover something new, formulate a hypothesis, discuss different solutions etc.
It is often demanding for the teacher to offer pupils sufficient space for it, because such communication cannot be prepared in advance and they have to react quickly to the situation in the classroom. When teaching the teacher poses several questions most of which are not prepared in advance.
In the lecture, we will focus on questions from mathematics and biology. We will deal with "good" questions with the attention paid to the following issues: - What is a "good" question? - How to create "good" questions? - How to use "good" questions during lessons?
