Hypoglycemia in a patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with a combination of oral antidiabetic agents

Abstract

We present a case of hypoglycemia in a patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with a combination of oral antidiabetic agents including glibenclamide, which was satisfactorily controlled for a long time. The hypoglycemic event happened after omitting two main meals because of nausea while keeping the same medication schedule.

The patient was not instructed in any preventive measure in such situation.
