Why to read Mr. Mečíř or what his memory of Antonin Švehla tells

Abstract

The text explains the extraordinary significance of the memoirs of the Czechoslovak diplomat but also journalist and writer Karel Mečír to the three-time Prime Minister Antonín Švehla. He points to the author's awareness as a close associate of Švehla, both in the newspaper of the Agrarian Party Venkov and in the agrarian party itself.
