Abstract
This article deals with the evaluation of the faith of a Christian. In the past, this was considered the right and matter of Churches; Churches themselves set up the conditions under which a person becomes a member of the church and how his/her faith would be judged.
Judging the faith of Christians outside of these congregations is a new phenomenon of the migration crisis. The major problem is the conversion of Muslims to Christianity, which raised the question of whether or not the behavior of individuals simply had the purpose of obtaining asylum faster.
Contemporary examples from Austria and Germany prove how controversial faith examinations administered by government officials may be. Examining the faith of an individual has become an exam on familiarity with facts and abstract theological thinking without bringing into consideration the spectrum of religious socialization, ways of thinking, and cultural, linguistic, and religious specifics.
This paper aims to open this new occurrence as a serious theological topic.
