Abstract
The paper presents the progress in the research into the late prehistoric occupation in the western part of Jebel Sabaloka made since 2014 and focuses in particular on post-depositional processes, burials of hunter-gatherers at two core sites, and chronology of the Early Khartoum (Mesolithic) occupation.
