Abstract
This papers deals with the circumstances of the celebrations of the laying of the foundation stone for the National Theater in Prague in May 1918. This event was aimed not only on the festivities of the cultural theatrical programme, but as the political manifestation against Austria-Hungarian monarchy as well, which was organized by the representatives of the home revolt and political delegates from the other crown lands of Austria-Hungary.
