A chapter in the monogrpah deals with concept of both liturgical and theatre space in the work of Miroslav Kouřil, a Czech church architect and avant-garde scenographer in the 20th century. It is based on an analasis of published articles and yet-unpublished documents in the literary archive.
First, Kouřil's project of church house and its liturgical hall is introduced. Then, architect's idea of theatre space is briefly presented, particularly his concept of dramatic space.
Finally, both concepts of liturgical and dramatic space are compared and assessed.
